Brief Description of Position
The Sales Support Assistant Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Sales team through effective coordination, customer management, administrative excellence, and inside sales activities. This role oversees the Sales Support team and ensures seamless day-to-day operations between customers, the sales team, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Coordination
Support the Sales Managers with order processing, quotation preparation, and timely follow-ups.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
Maintain and update customer records, sales data in the CRM system.
Coordinate with internal departments (Logistics, Finance, Production) to ensure timely order fulfilment.
Track and manage sales leads to ensure timely communication and follow-up.
Help resolve customer complaints or issues, escalating where necessary.
Inside Sales & Upselling
Conduct inside sales activities to support business growth.
Upsell and cross-sell products to existing customers based on customer needs and seasonal opportunities.
Work closely with Sales Managers to identify sales opportunities and convert them into revenue.
Team Leadership & Management
Manage and supervise the Sales Support Executives, providing coaching, guidance, and performance oversight.
Oversee workflow planning, task allocation, and quality control within the sales support function.
Continuously improve internal processes for better efficiency and customer experience.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Business or related field; Degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales support or inside sales—preferably within B2B or food manufacturing sectors.
Prior experience leading or supervising a team is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to a 5-day work week and professional business attire.
Willing to handle ad-hoc tasks required to support business operations.
