About the role
This role manages all AR accounting operation matters, including eCommerce activity reconciliations, revenue recognition, general ledger reviews, and month-end closing activities. You will ensure financial reports are accurate and prepared in accordance with local accounting standards and corporate requirements.
Key responsibilities
Manage all AR accounting operation matters
Perform weekly/monthly reconciliations of eCommerce activity and record related journal entries, such as reconciliation of payment gateway to online sales report
Ensure revenues are recognised in the correct accounting period from sales data on E-commerce Platform and Marketplace
Review and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating discrepancies and taking appropriate corrective actions
Update receipts in Xero system on daily basis and perform bank reconciliation
Maintain schedules (Money Clearing and Undeposited Fund) and accuracy of data in excels
Recognize realized gain/loss accurately and timely
Perform month end closing activities
Ensure all financial reports are accurate and prepared in accordance with local accounting standards and corporate requirements in a timely manner
Participate in annual audit by external auditors including preparation of audit schedules and audit queries
About you
Degree in Accountancy, Finance, CPA, ACCA, or CA or equivalent
Strong working knowledge in SFRS and IFRS, along with sound GST and local tax regulations working knowledge
3+ years in Accounting, Business Analysis, or Finance; prior eCommerce experience is preferred
Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and persistent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with external partners
Experience working with large volumes of data from multiple sources
Advanced Excel skills – must be able to organize data, utilize pivot tables, write complex formulas, design reports, and extract data into Excel
Ability to work in fast paced, limited resource environment and multi-task priorities
Ability to analyse problems and find new and efficient ways to resolve and improve processes/systems
