Java Backend developer
About the role
This is a Java development role requiring expertise in application development and implementation, particularly in ecommerce, internet banking and mobile banking projects. You will work across all phases of the software development lifecycle from analysis to production support.
Key responsibilities
Compile and analyse data, processes and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
Enhance user experience by collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and designing functional and cohesive codes
Conduct code reviews and provide critical suggestions for fixes and improvements
Conduct unit testing to ensure high quality codes, minimising backend code defects
Create, maintain and share technical documentation for requirement traceability
About you
Minimum 5 years of experience working on Java, J2EE, Core Java, MVC and OO Analysis and Design patterns
Minimum 5 years of working experience in application development and implementation, particularly in ecommerce, internet banking and mobile banking projects
Ability to do Analysis, Development and Test
Experience in TDD
Experience with SonarQube
Good understanding of SQL, JSON, XML API, MQ, JBOSS
Experience developing the UI and backend components of iOS apps
Strong experience in Camel, Spring boot, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Maven
Strong experience in writing Junit testcases using Junit, Mockito, Power Mockito
Experience in using Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, Artifactory
Strong knowledge on microservices architecture and Design patterns
Experience in using splunk and writing queries
Knowledge on Agile development framework
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Able to work independently with minimum guidance and good team player
