Pawmrkt is a pet lifestyle supplies store for modern pawrents, offering carefully selected food, treats, toys and everyday essentials for cats and dogs. We believe shopping for pets should be easy, enjoyable and not overwhelming. We’re looking for a hands-on marketer to help grow our brand, online sales and in-store community.
Job Responsibilities
1. Social Media & Content Marketing
Plan, create and manage content across Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
Shoot and edit short-form videos, product photos, reels and stories.
Develop content calendars, write captions and execute campaigns around promotions, seasonal events and product launches.
Build brand awareness, engagement and community through relatable, creative content.
2. E-Commerce & TikTok Shop Management
Manage day-to-day TikTok Shop operations, including product listings, pricing, promotions, campaigns and livestream or affiliate opportunities where relevant.
Maintain and optimise the Shopify website, including product listings, images, collections, descriptions, banners and buying guides.
Identify opportunities to improve the online shopping experience, conversion rates and repeat purchases.
Track online sales and performance, and recommend improvements.
3. Digital Advertising & Performance Marketing
Plan, set up and manage paid campaigns across Google Ads, TikTok Ads and other relevant platforms.
Monitor advertising spend, performance and return on investment.
Test different creatives, audiences and campaign strategies to improve results.
Report on key metrics and recommend practical ways to grow traffic and sales.
4. In-Store Marketing & Promotions
Plan and execute retail promotions, seasonal campaigns, product launches and store activations.
Create marketing materials such as promotional signage, posters, flyers and in-store displays.
Explore partnerships, collaborations and community events to drive store traffic and sales.
Work with the retail team to ensure campaigns are executed smoothly in-store.
5. Marketing Strategy & Business Growth
Develop and execute marketing plans aligned with Pawmrkt’s sales and business goals.
Track campaign results, customer behaviour and sales trends across online and offline channels.
Identify opportunities to increase customer acquisition, retention, average order value and repeat purchases.
Take ownership of marketing projects from ideation through execution and performance review.
Requirements
Diploma in Marketing, Digital Media or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience managing social media, creating short-form video content and running digital marketing campaigns.
Familiarity with Shopify, TikTok Shop, Google Ads Manager and analytics tools is an advantage.
Comfortable using Canva and video-editing tools to create content independently.
Creative, proactive and commercially minded, with an understanding that marketing needs to drive sales, not just engagement.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and take ownership without constant supervision.
Passion for pets and an interest in the pet retail industry.
What we’re looking for: Someone who enjoys both the creative and commercial sides of marketing — from filming a TikTok to analysing ad performance, updating the website and coming up with ideas to get more customers through our doors. You should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and making things happen in a small business environment.
