Senior Sourcing & Procurement Manager – Fresh Food

About the role

You will lead sourcing and supplier management for a core fresh food category: vegetables or meat, based on your experience. You will work with local and overseas suppliers to keep products available, quality consistent, and costs competitive.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a reliable supplier base in Singapore and relevant overseas markets
• Plan purchasing around demand, availability, seasonality, and supply risks
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply arrangements; identify opportunities to improve cost and margin
• Set product specifications and monitor quality, food safety, delivery, and supplier performance
• Work with Sales, Warehouse, Operations, and Finance on forecasting, replenishment, inventory, and waste reduction
• Develop suitable suppliers for the FoodMax platform and support their onboarding
• Track category performance, pricing, supplier reliability, and key procurement metrics

About you

• At least 5 years of hands-on procurement or sourcing experience in vegetables or meat within Singapore's food supply chain
• A relevant supplier network and a track record of negotiating prices and maintaining reliable supply
• Strong knowledge of your category's products, quality standards, market pricing, and supply risks
• Confidence using Excel or Google Sheets to track costs, margins, inventory, and supplier performance
• Strong English communication skills and working proficiency in Mandarin or Malay for supplier communication
• Comfortable visiting suppliers, wholesale markets, or warehouses and handling time-sensitive issues
• Currently eligible to work in Singapore
• Vegetables: Familiarity with Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre and suppliers across at least two sourcing origins
• Meat: 8+ years in meat procurement, including 3+ years owning a category or key supplier relationships; knowledge of Singapore meat import and food safety requirements
• Experience with B2B e-commerce, supplier marketplaces, cold-chain operations, or fresh food platforms is an advantage
