Solutions Engineer
Wilmar Distribution supplies food ingredients and products across Singapore. We're a small, growing team that builds the systems our business runs on.
We're hiring Solutions Engineers to build and run the systems our business teams use every day. You'll work closely with our business teams to understand their problems and build practical solutions, using modern tools including AI.
Candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
What you'll do
Sit with business teams to understand their day-to-day processes and spot where time is lost to manual work
Design and build solutions such as automations, workflows and dashboards, using AI tools to move fast
Connect data between business systems
Roll out what you build: train users, write simple guides, and make sure people actually use it
Own your systems once they're live: fix issues, answer questions, and keep improving them from user feedback
Help evaluate and bring in outside platforms
Test changes before they go live, and follow good practice on data access and security
Document what you build so others can maintain and reuse it
What we're looking for
Must have
A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Able to write and debug Python and SQL, and to explain how data moves between systems
Comfortable with Git and working with APIs
Hands-on experience building with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Copilot, and the judgement to check what they produce
At least one project, internship or side project you built and shipped, that other people actually used
Clear communication with non-technical people, in person and in writing
Curiosity about how a business runs, and comfort working on the floor with operations teams
Nice to have
JavaScript or TypeScript
Experience building with LLM APIs or AI agents
Postgres or similar relational databases
Advanced Excel and Power Query
Experience with ERP, warehouse or e-commerce systems
