Storekeeper / Warehouse Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, responsible and hands-on Storekeeper / Warehouse Assistant to support our daily warehouse operations, stock management and order fulfilment. The successful candidate will help ensure that incoming stocks are properly received and stored, customer orders are accurately picked and packed, and daily deliveries to our business partners and e-commerce customers are prepared on time.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately according to sales orders, invoices and delivery orders

• Check item descriptions, model numbers, quantities and product specifications against customer orders before packing

• Ensure goods are properly packed and protected to prevent damage during handling and delivery

• Receive incoming goods and assist with unloading and unpacking of stocks

• Inspect incoming goods for correct quantities, model numbers, visible damage and discrepancies against delivery orders or purchase documents

• Store and organise goods systematically in their assigned warehouse locations

• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly warehouse, ensuring all goods are stored safely and systematically

• Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor or purchasing department when stocks are running low

• Assist with regular stock counts, stocktaking and inventory checks

• Assist with loading and unloading goods for deliveries, collections and inter-warehouse transfers

About you

• Responsible, honest, hardworking and able to work independently

• Careful and attentive to detail, especially when checking products, quantities and documents

• Able to carry out manual handling duties, including lifting, moving and arranging goods, with appropriate equipment or assistance where required

• Able to read and understand invoices, delivery orders, picking lists and basic stock documents

• Basic computer skills for inventory updates and warehouse records are an advantage

• Previous experience in warehousing, storekeeping, stock control or order fulfilment is preferred but not essential

• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team
