Sales Executive (Wholesale and Retail)
About the role
We are looking for a proactive and self-driven Sales Executive to grow sales of our organic fertilizer across both wholesale and retail channels. You will handle bulk and distributor accounts as well as retail customers, support orders from enquiry to delivery and payment, and be a dependable point of contact for our customers. This is an ownership role. The candidate will report to the Sales Manager and/or CEO for direction and support, but is expected to take initiative: own the accounts and targets, proactively find new opportunities, and follow through without waiting to be told.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, approach and develop bulk buyers such as farms, plantations, nurseries, landscaping contractors, agri-input distributors and cooperatives
- Prepare quotations and proposals, and negotiate pricing, volumes and delivery terms within guidelines set by Management
- Manage wholesale accounts and standing orders, and follow up on repeat purchases and payment collection
- Support product trials and demonstrations to help customers see the results of our fertilizer
- Manage and grow retail channels such as garden centres, nurseries, retail shops, online platforms and events
- Handle retail enquiries and orders, and coordinate stock and fulfilment with the Operations team
- Support retail promotions, events and product demonstrations, and share product information with end-users
- Take full ownership of the assigned accounts, leads and sales targets, from first contact to payment collection
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales data and pipeline updates in the CRM, and report sales progress to the Sales Manager and/or CEO
- Coordinate with the Operations Executive on stock availability, production schedules and delivery timelines
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- 1–2 years of sales experience (B2B and/or B2C); fresh graduates with strong potential are welcome to apply
- Experience in fertilizers, agri-inputs, gardening, FMCG or distribution is an advantage
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, and comfortable dealing with both trade and retail customers
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership: takes initiative, is accountable for results, and does not wait to be told what to do
- Persistent in following up, well organised, and able to manage multiple accounts and orders at once
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or e-commerce platforms is an added advantage
- Interest in sustainability, agriculture and the circular economy
- Willingness to travel locally, make customer and site visits, and attend events outside office hours when required
Benefits
- Performance-based commission and incentives
- Opportunities for career advancement with international exposure
