Sales & Marketing Executive – Shipping / NVOCC
About the role
Muskan Shipping Pte. Ltd. is looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales & Marketing Executive to join our growing team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, generating sales leads, building relationships with freight forwarders, exporters, importers and other potential customers, and promoting our shipping and NVOCC services. We are looking for someone who understands the shipping and logistics market, enjoys communicating with customers and is confident in developing new accounts.
Key responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the shipping, NVOCC and freight-forwarding market.
Generate new sales leads through calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking and customer visits.
Approach freight forwarders, exporters, importers and other potential customers.
Promote the company's ocean freight and NVOCC services.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Follow up on sales enquiries, quotations and potential bookings.
Understand customers' shipping requirements and offer suitable freight solutions.
Coordinate internally with pricing and operations teams for rates, schedules and booking requirements.
Negotiate freight rates and commercial terms with customers.
Maintain regular communication with customers and identify opportunities for repeat business.
About you
Experience in shipping, NVOCC, freight forwarding or logistics sales is highly preferred.
Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience will have an advantage.
Fresh graduates with strong communication and sales abilities may also be considered.
Good understanding of ocean freight, FCL shipments and import/export activities is an advantage.
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting and developing new customers.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic CRM/database management.
Experience with LinkedIn, email marketing or digital B2B marketing will be an advantage.
